A birthday well being treat
A birthday treat for a friend and we had a lovely time. Edwin was friendly and helpful explaining how to get the most out of the experience. From sauna to cold plunge pool to hot tub and repeat! Fabulous views and it really doesn't matter what the weather is like you'll still have a great time. A Class way to spend an hour or so.. really nice friendly guy managing the place. Very orga real experience.enjoyed it.

Day well spent: kayaking and relaxing in a proper wood fire Sauna
We started a day with them by taking a kayak tour through the lock and down the river. It was quite exciting experience to go through the working lock and so peaceful down the river. Guide, Hughie, was brilliant and handled the whole group so well, making everyone feel comfortable on their chosen equipment (paddle board or kayak). Start was a bit rusty as there was a mixed up on other groups preferences and it took a good chunk of time to get right boards and kayaks to the water. Hughie did his best and we were happy to help him, but if this would have been communicated better, we would have had more time to enjoy the activity and the river. If you are around and looking for a nice fun activity, do not look further. Second part of the day, we came back for relaxation. Five and plus stars for sauna with the view. I am sure hot tube was as good, but I just prefer a really good sauna instead. Hour flew by, absolutely loved the wood fire sauna and amazingly calming view it has to offer. Hot-tub under the Stars
Booked a last minute session at the Wellness area at Lough Allen Adventure center. Forgot the clocks had changed and it would be dark.. Also raining. However so glad I went. First up the lovely wood-fired sauna was bliss - I skipped the plunge pool and headed for the wood-fired hot-tub and it was amazing sitting in the bubbles and heat in the dark - then one last sauna and home.
