ACTIVITIES AT LOUGH ALLEN

Women on the Water

Time to venture out on the water and try something new! Meet new friends and have some fun!

We run the Women on the Water course in conjunction with Leitrim Sports Partnership.

There’s approximately 20 women in each session and the session lasts for 1 ½ – 2 hours each week. The course duration is 6 sessions.

You’ll learn basic kayaking or SUP (stand-up paddleboarding) control and manoeuvres, become comfortable paddling and develop basic water safety skills.

During the course, you’ll explore Lough Allen and the Blueway and work up to a paddle to O’Connor’s Island.

Participants may qualify for ICU Level 1 or Level 2 certification at the end of the sessions.

When Women on the Water is unavailable, we run our Ladies on the Lake program depending on the number of participants.

If you’re interested in learning kayaking or paddleboarding, just give us a call on 087 272 1001 for some further information.
